Baby on the way & other important happenings!

Sled Dogs

Hi everybody! I’ve been away from home all week learning some skills in the construction biz–siding/soffet/facia board–but I’m finally home now, and not a moment too soon–Harm is due to have our third (!) child tomorrow!!!

Things have been going exceedingly well for the Barron family this year; my new rain gutter business is growing nicely, my job training sled dogs for Dr. Mark Ibsen’s 2012 mid-distance season begins next week, I’m making some fantastic contacts in the siding & roofing biz that could lead to an expansion of my gutter company into those fields, Harm’s new art business is taking off, and last but not least is my writing of the novel The Book of Ten, which is plugging along at a steady clip.

Harm and the kids are doing well and looking forward to the new addition to the family structure–and also a big move for us shortly after the baby comes…as of September 1st, we’ll be saying goodbye to Lincoln and moving away to a new future in Helena.

We are literally expecting Harm to go into labor anytime after sundown tonight, so a very busy period ahead of us…the plan is at the first sign of labor to scoop the kids out of bed and for all of us to drive into Missoula (about a 1:45 drive) and have the baby at the midwife’s house–the same place Oksana & Julian were born–spend a day recuperating in town, then come home. Whooo!

Just a quick status update so that everyone knows what to expect if we go “off radar” at some point 😉

Thanks for tuning in–more to follow….

When you move to Helena—where will that be? Do you have a place for the dogs you are caring for and training? Have you sold Lincoln property.
Prayers and good thoughts for your family and the new addition.

    • We’re keeping that information as the “Helena area”; yes, the dogs are Dr. Ibsen’s, and are being kept on his property; no, we haven’t sold it yet, but are putting it on the market soon.

Thank you for your well wishes and prayers, Marlene 🙂 I hope you’re having a wonderful day!

  2. Sounds like you are doing well on all fronts and congrats!

    Good theme choice too, Jason!

Hello Jason and Harmony, Mitch and I were just talking about you guys and thought we would look you up, wow a third child how exciting! hope all went well or will go well if it hasn’t arrived yet. Jason I would love to read your book if you could let me know where to buy it. Take Care Kricket.

    • Hi Kricket 😉 That’s funny, Harm & I have been thinking about you guys, too, just lately! Now that we’re not racing in the midwest it seems that we never see you anymore…we should get together on Google+ and have a video conference!

Thank you for your well wishes on the newest addition to the Barron family–little baby Quinn is doing really well & his Mama is rapidly recovering her strength. It’s hard to believe that there are 5 (!!!) of us now…ooops, I just realized which post this was! Yes, we had the baby, Quinn Leonidas Barron, born on the 13th, 8.8 pounds, 21 inches.

On the right hand side of the blog page is a picture of the book cover–Ballad of the Northland–which you can click on & be taken to an ordering screen!

Hope you, Mitch & your lovely daughter are all thriving,
