The Barron’s Abroad

Hello all–just a quick update about what the Barron’s are up to for the next couple of weeks.

Harm, myself & the Little’s are currently in Minnesota to attend the opening ceremonies of the John Beargrease Marathon; first up will be a book signing at Sally Anderson’s ‘Bookstore at Fitger’s’ (please come and say hi!) followed by a mushing/book presentation to the Beargrease Volunteers. After that, we have a ton of activities planned, including a presence at the ‘Cutest Puppy Contest’ on the 29th (not sure about the location on that one, but probably near Fitger’s) and a signing right at the starting line of the race. As our schedule fills in, I’ll share more details!

This past weekend I covered the Kuskokwim 300 on the blog–I plan to do an expanded coverage of the Beargrease this year as well, posting at least twice per day (and even three-four times internet permitting) with all the insight I can muster πŸ™‚ Additionally, we plan to include a number of video interviews with some of the “key players”, so, LOTS of exciting stuff planned!

I have a series of post planned dubbed ‘On the Road Again’ scheduled to go public around mid-day on almost every day of our absence from “home base”–essentially, they are an eclectic handful of stories/video’s meant to be entertaining, and to fill the gap if I end up in the wilderness without internet at some point.

Okay, that’s all for now–thanks for checking in!

More to follow….

Sure enjoying traveling along with you guys. The roads in northeastern Montana and across N. dakota are sure an adventure aren’t they?
Sounds like you’re going to be really busy and really, really having fun.

  2. Jason – I really enjoyed hearing you talk about mushing and reading from “Ballad” tonight. Your passion for mushing and writing is obvious, and I look forward to diving into the book. Thanks for coming to Minnesota to be a part of the Beargrease this year, even though we’ll miss seeing you race.

    • It was my pleasure, Nick! I really do hope you enjoy the book, and look forward to “staying in touch” through this blog–thanks for listening last night, and also commenting here πŸ™‚

    • Thank you, Nick πŸ™‚ It was my pleasure! It was very nice to meet you & the rest. Just so you know, I’m not in a position to stay connected to the internet on a daily basis until the end of the week–so stick with it & I promise to post more frequently (2-3 per day)!
